Introducing, Brazil!

During the last two weeks in August, two dental students and one faculty member will be traveling to Bauru, Brazil to visit the University of Sao Paulo School of Dentistry and the Hospital for Rehabilitation of Craniofacial Anomalies.  D3’s Lauren Ehardt and Priyanka Iyer, and faculty member Dr. Katherine Kelly will have the opportunity to learn how dentistry is taught and practiced at an internationally-renown dental institution in Brazil as well as how comprehensive care is provided to craniofacial anomaly patients.  The International College of Dentists and the UM School of Dentistry’s Global Oral Health Initiatives Program will support the exchange experience.  In the fall, Bauru dental students will visit the School of Dentistry to learn more about oral health care delivery at UM and support continued collaboration between the two dental schools.  Stay tuned for pictures and posts from the exchange experience to Brazil!
